COONSHRIMP AND PRAWNS MADE EASY! With the best salmon egg cure you can make the best Coonshrimp cure (In a well ventilated area, outdoors is best) Start with a quart jar, add roughly 3 ounces of dry Ultimate Egg Cure to the bottom of jar. Fill with pre-cooked Coonshrimp or Prawns then add bottled or river water to within 1”of the top
COONSHRIMP AND PRAWNS MADE EASY! With the best salmon egg cure you can make the best Coonshrimp cure (In a well ventilated area, outdoors is best) Start with a quart jar, add roughly 3 ounces of dry Ultimate Egg Cure to the bottom of jar. Fill with pre-cooked Coonshrimp or Prawns then add bottled or river water to within 1”of the top of jar, (city tap water not advised). Last add roughly 1 cup of rocksalt. Screw lid on tightly and shake until all visible dry cure and dye is dissolved, now you will visibly see the rocksalt at the bottom of the jar. The rocksalt is important to watch through the curing process, if over the first week all rocksalt dissolves add another 1/2 cup and repeat until the solution no longer dissolves the rocksalt. The key is to be sure the brine/solution in the jar gets to 100% salinity and takes no more salt as that will preserve the shrimp keeping them fresh as long as they stay submersed in the brine solution. The curing process is complete after 72 hours and the shrimp are ready to fish! At times, after the curing process is complete I’ll drain off ½” of water and add my favorite oil based Pro-Cure scents to enhance the bite! coon shrimp cure salmon egg cures

Prawn Chunk Baits are fresh frozen non-cooked prawns from the grocery store in the 20-30 count or 41-50 count frozen, again these are NON-COOKED prawns. Thaw about a pound of prawns and peel them. Cut prawns in the chunk size baits, roughl
Although it is the best salmon egg cure, Ultimate Egg Cure can be used to cure Prawn chunk baits. Prawn Chunk Baits are fresh frozen non-cooked prawns from the grocery store in the 20-30 count or 41-50 count frozen, again these are NON-COOKED prawns. Thaw about a pound of prawns and peel them. Cut prawns in the chunk size baits, roughly the size of a dime to a nickel keeping the cuts as spherical as possible. In a pint jar, layer Ultimate Egg Cure and a 1-2" layer of prawn chunks repeated with Ultimate Egg Cure layer then again with prawn chunks until desired amount of bait is curing. Feel free to add your favorite salmon or steelhead scent and shake well, bait will be ready to fish in 6-12 hours. Prawn chunk baits are a guides choice for inexperienced fisherman or kids as they're extremely tough bait and are very difficult to get off the hook. Prawn chunks are also a great choice when lots of smolt are present eating your eggs up too quickly, the prawn chunks are hard to remove from the hook and often can be used on multiple casts.
